Dress Dillema

I just called to see when my dress was going to be in and they told me around May 1. My wedding is July 24th. I ordered the dress in July last year. Am I being over anxious, or is this cutting it close?

I do think that's a long wait, I thought they could only take up to 8 months? Anyway, even though it's a little close, you'll have plenty of time for fittings and alterations.

that's plenty of time - my dress came in in december - first fitting in january for my april wedding
don't worry about it - you'll be fine!

That is a long time...did they give you a date on your contract?

In any case, don't worry...2 months will be enough time to get your fittings.

My dress won't be in until March.

I do think that's a long wait. But it depends on the manufacturer of the dress. Some take longer than others. But I do agree, that you have plenty of time for alterations. My wedding is in May and I'm probably going to go for my first fitting in March.

YOU WILL BE O K! MY FRIENDS DRESS CAME IN 4 WEEKS BEFORE HER WEDDING AND IT WAS OK SHE WAS READY TO GO IN 3 WEEKS!

It does seem like a very long wait, but I think you will be fine as far as alterations go.

It seems like a long wait- maybe the store didn't order the gown right away? Anyway, I agree with the other ladies that you should have plenty of time for alterations!

That seems like an awful long time to wait.

I know when they ordered my dress in Aug they lied and said on the order that I was getting married in July. I got my dress in November!!!

It does seem like a long tim but as Marcela said, some manufaturers take longer than others. And if you order your dress far in advance sometimes the salon won't put it in right away so it is not being stored there for a long amount of time.
