dress drama

So I got my dress a while ago because the price was SO right and I really loved it...I kept it in one of the closets at my parents house in the plastic bag they sent it in......Then I started reading all the stuff people posted about storing dresses and learned plastic is a big no no. So I got nervous and checked on it and sure enough the top looked discolored to me! Luckily the store I got it from still has the dress and somehow I was able to exchange it without a problem. I feel relieved and have since wrapped it in a cotton sheet and put it in a garment bag. The problem is this is the only dress I've ever even tried on and I'm worried that maybe it doesn't look as good on me as I want it to (my family swears it's beautiful and beautiful on me) I didn't want to spend a ridiculous amount on a dress you only wear for mere hours especially since we're buying a house...but I just can't stop feeling uneasy. I'll try to post a picture later and maybe you guys could give me some opinions?

wow! ok i`m glad you posted because i`m going to pick up my dress tonight i know it comes in that dry cleaner type plastic and i know you should wrap it in a sheet but i didn`t know to take off the plastic 1st. and the sheet goes 1st the the garment bag!? ohh and i`m not sure if my dress is the perfect dress. but it`s the perfect dress for me. so if you loved the dress in the store you`ll love it on you for your wedding.

i'm glad the store exchanged it for you.

I'm sure the dress is perfect, you loved it for a reason. Definately post pics so we can all tell you how awesome it is!
Try it on again and look in the mirror.... you'll remember why you liked it so much.

Re: dress drama

I know I'm being kinda crazy but I just worry that since I didn't spend a lot on it that it'll look cheap...or that it it makes me look wide from the front...I'm driving myself nuts. I also want to see what it looks like when I get a good crinoline to wear under it cuz it looks kinda deflated right now.
