Dress Drama!!!!!!
So, I wasn't going to post this but I wanted to fill everyone in on what has happened to me.
So I went this past weekend to go for my first fitting and I was in tears. I looked at my dress and coulnd't believe my eyes. It was the wrong color embroiderer. I was in tears for over an hour. Everyone hushed me and I just went along with the flow. When I got home I looked at the pics of me in the sample and it was completely different!!!!!!!!!! (not a little....a huge difference!!!) By the time I called the salon they were closed and had to wait to tuesday. Went back tuesday and fought the owner and workers about the dress.
Finally I went back today and they are getting me a new dress made by Amsale (I met with one of the head people of Amsale/Kenneth pool). I was limited on dresses b.c I am only six weeks before my wedding. They promised me the dress in four weeks exactly.
I did not have to pay extra, just the cost for alterations and bustle that I would have had to pay anyway.
I actually saw one of our fellow 08 girls there and she and her FSIL said the gold embroider was ugly. (I wasn't imagining it) there was no way I could wear that dress. It was 80s gaudy gold.
I was soooo depressed from sat til today and lost almost 8 pounds b/c I couldn't eat or sleep. Finally I am at ease, I love my new dress and can't wait for it to come in. The next four weeks will be stressful but what can I do.
I am just happy that I am getting married to the man I love.
(I am not going to say the name of the place b/c even though it was a mess up, they still did the right thing and really helped me out)
