dress drama! help

dress drama! help

Ok so my wedding is 8 1/2 months away and I still have not bought a dress. I have gone 5 times to try on dresses and I have not found 'the one' yet. I have found dresses that I really like a lot, but I haven't thought to myself 'oh wow this is the one!' Everyone keeps telling me that you know when you find the right dress. I don't know that I will ever feel that way about a dress...and I honestly don't want to keep looking and I need to buy a dress before this month is over because time is ticking. So.... I tried on a maggie dress that I really like, but there is another maggie that is similair to that one, but I can not find it anywhere. Does anyone know of any dress shops that will order a maggie sample dress? The stores that I asked told me that they would have to have a few requests for a particular dress for them to request it from the designer. I really feel that this dress might be 'the one' and I need to try it on!! One store told me that they would try to order it for me, but there was no guarantee and I would have to pay for shipping. Any suggestions?? Thank you!

I know Lilletts in Baldwin carries Maggie Sottero, maybe call them up & see if they have the style you like.

I was having the same problem. What worked for me was going back with an open mind, try on things that you think you don't want or couldn't imagine wearing. Before going shopping I always thought I would get a princess, strapless with little embroidery, my dress is mermaid with embroidery all over.

I went to Lillette's, and called some other stores and none of them have the one I'm looking for.

Everyone doesn't get that 'wow this is my dress feeling' so don't depend on that...I sure didn't....I had doubts when I bought my dress, lol! Just pick a dress that you really like and that flatters you the best....I would also set a deadline and after that deadline comes, just choose your favorite dress out of all of the dresses you tried on...

I'm so glad to hear that you felt the same way, cause everyone has told me that I should have that 'wow' feeling and it's driving me nuts! Thank you, I feel better already.
