Dress Drama--VENT (long)!!!!!
Okay, so I decided to ask my step-sisters to be junior bridesmaids a few months back. They both said yes, and selected a dress. The dress is not same designer as the BMs, but is the same material and there is a color that is a near match to the BMs dresses.
Mom took the girls this weekend to get measured and order the dresses. 1 of the girls (who is 16 and 5'8') is too big for the Jr size, but this dress is available as a BM dress.
Well, the BM dress is $250, the Jr is $180, however b/c it's a 2 piece, the top being satin tafetta and the skirt being matte tafetta, only the skirt is available in the 'right' color. Lady at the store said they can do a material change for $10. Fine. Well, after all was said and done, each dress was going to be over $250 each!
I told my mom to forget it, b/c the dress the BMs ordered was only $210. Might as well order the same dress here (Mom and girls are in Illinois) and ship it there!
Today mom tells me the girls would prefer a 2 piece as opposed to a 1 piece (which is what the BMs have). Now I have to go to the dress place this week and see how much the 2pcs they like are.
GH!!! I had been mostly drama free thru all this planning....I guess as I am getting closer the drama will start to unfold!
