dress emergency help

hi girls. my sister has just encountered a major problem with her dress. to make a loooong story short, her wedding is in two weeks, the bridal shop made her dress TWO INCHES too short amongst other alteration issues. we are hoping she'll have a new dress by middle to end of the week.

the catch: we need to find someone to do alterations for her.

can anyone please please please recommend a seamstress who works on bridal gowns and would be able to get this done for her? she'd just need a hem and bustle done.

i know several of you have raved about phyllis of gownfind (?). does she do work on dresses not purchased through her?

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes Phyllis will help even if you did not purchase a dress through her. She has a new shop in Dix Hills....

I don't know where you are located but I was driving home the other day and I saw a sign outside a house near Bridal Reflections in Carle Place... FM me if you want full dtls... I think she works from her house and it said Bridal... so maybe she can help!!!

Rosealba's Alterations in Kings Park- not sure where you're coming from, but she did my dress when I was in a bridal party last June. I brought the dress in to her on a Thursday & she had it done 2 days later when I went on Saturday!!!!!! She definately knows her business well. FM me if you want her info. She's amazing.
