So I just got a message that my dress is in (which is a shock - wasn't expecting that for atleast another month...) but my wedding isn't until August...How far in advance do you usually go for your first fitting?

Someone mentioned yesterday that you do fitting 6 weeks before, 4 weeks before and 2 weeks before.

Mine came in crazy fast, too! I was told we don't need to go for fittings til like 2 months before. I will prob make my 1st appt for early June.

I started mine 2 months before and it worked out perfect. My last fitting is the end of this month.

my wedding is 4/20, my first fitting was jan 19 second one was a month before , and final is 10 days before

Of course I have this big idea that I'm going to lose some weight before the wedding, so the thought of having to go in now to try it on does NOT make me happy!!! I feel better now after reading your responses though...guess it's just time to really kick the diet into high gear! thanks!!

im going to start fittings 2 months before....due to stress ill probably be emaciated before the wedding and i want to make sure that sucker is still tight

They told me to go for my first fitting 3 months before my wedding, so I just called and made an appointment for 4/24. My wedding is 7/25.

My dress just came in and my wedding is in October. They want me to go for my first fitting in May and then the other's will be scheduled closer to the wedding.

My wedding is June 7th. My first fitting is this Saturday April 12th. My second and hopefully last fitting is May 17th.
I went in January to try on the dress just to remember what it looked like and make sure they ordered it correctly!

thanks! i called them back and i'm going to go in and see it again in a month, but not going to actually start any fittings until around 2 months before...i feel better now :)
