Help! I'm so confused! When I go for my fitting do I get fitted to the 4' heels that I'll be wearing in the church, pictures and beginning of the reception or do I get fitted with my ballet slipper? I def want my dress to the floor while wearing my shoes, but I also don't want it dragging when I change them. Is this what the bustle is for?

Re: Dress Fitting Question
well I have sort of the same issue that I will be wearing 3.5' heels for the ceremony and pictures and then switching to converse sneakers for the reception. I personally don't care if it drags on the floor though afterward. I am going to actually see if I can last a little while at the reception with the heels but I doubt it.

Re: Dress Fitting Question
Someone said to do it an inch or 1/2 inch up from the heel...I have no idea and I'm going for my first fitting in January...

Re: Dress Fitting Question
The bustle is just to pin up the back of the dress like where the train is so your not trippin on it or having to hold it up..
I got shoes that are low cause I wanna wear slippers during the recpetion and I didnt want my dress to be too short or too long.. its annoying though... lol

Re: Dress Fitting Question
no the bustle really holds your train. if you're wearing 4 inch heels and changing to ballet flats, 3 inches at least will drag on the floor.

Re: Dress Fitting Question
Then I guess if I don't want it to drag I'll have to have it shorter while wearing my heels...but do I want that? Ugh...now I'm thinking do I just buy different shoes...oh no...
