dress & flower colors

Hi Ladies,
I need some advice/opinions on flower colors. My bridesmaids are going to be in black (i know some people think that is boring) and i want my bouquet to be white calla lilies. I want to have some color in the pictures though so would do something different for the bridesmaids bouquets and centerpieces...any thoughts? Its a summer wedding so is red to much? Should i go with pink? Or should i keep it white?
Also...MOB is going to wear black (by choice)...do I tell MOG that she needs to wear black too or let her wear whatever color dress she likes??? Is it appropriate to tell MOG what color to wear?
My other option is having my girls in a gunmetal color and then MOB in black but again, is it appropriate for me to tell MOG to wear black?

I would tell MOG what color to wear.

And I have an obsession with the color so I think PINK flowers would look beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would tell her too!! I would go for a different color then red, just to make it not predictable Fuchsia is nice also I have seen a lot of yellow with black and white, I think it's one of the hot new color combos. Actually many colors would look good with black and white. If you like red then do it!!!

I wouldn't have MOB or MOG wear black if your girls are already going to be in black. I'd just let her get whatever color dress she wants. But I was a very hands-off bride when it comes to that stuff.

You can do anything you want as far as flower colors. White and red will look beautiful with black dresses. White and a pale pink would also be gorgeous.

I'm having black bridesmaid dresses too! I'm doing red roses and red calla lilies for my flowers. I love black and white though too!

As far as the MOG, my FMIL is wearing a black dress too. I never asked or told her, just worked out that way!

I wouldn't really care what color MOG wears. As far as flowers go - you can really do any color to make it pop!

eta: aaaand my mom is wearing black too....that's the color she wanted. I told her it was OK & to get whatever she wanted. I am not telling MOG what color to wear either.

I love black and white weddings, so elegant. and nothing is more classic than black white and red, beautiful. but if you want to do something different your choices are endless. purple could look pretty, fuscia will look GORGEOUS! everybody loves black white and fuscia. yellow. gold.

thanks ladies! but do you think it would look funny having MOB in black and MOG being the only one in a color? thats the only reason i would consider telling her black

We did a black and white wedding with pale pink accents. MOG wore Navy blue and MOB wore pale pink. I didnt want to tell them what to wear because I wanted them to feel comfy. Now if they would have picked orange i might have said somethin gbut it wasnt an issues1

my bridesmaids are wearing black and I'm going to have them carry hot pink flowers and wear hot pink shoes.

my mom and fmil are forbidden to wear black. I know that guest will be wearing black and that's fine. But when we take pictures all together I don't want my mom or FMIL to look like BM's.
