there is a really cute shop on deer park ave. in babylon village called Pandemonium, they have some really cute dresses there.

If you don't mind going the small store route, I reccomen Debra Canavan on Main Street in Sayville. They can be a bit pricey as well, but they have really nice dresses and Debra has a good eye for what styles will flatter you best.
But, like the other girls have said, Ann Taylor Loft, Lord and Taylor, and Nordstrom are great places for dresses!
