Dress for e-pics...opinions please

I bought this dress from the gap today. I am thinking about using it for our e-pics mainly because it makes me look thiner We're taking our pics in Grand Central Station and I am gonna have FH wear jeans and a button down (a solid color). What do you girls think? (I wouldn't wear the straps-the come off).

I have off white wedges which have like that rope stuff on the bottom which will go perfectly.
