Dress for 'junior bridesmaids', what do you think?

Dress for 'junior bridesmaids', what do you think?

Found this at JCPenney's website:

For the size 6 that I need, it's $50.00 and for the size 12 that I need, it's $58.99. Both have been marked down by $10. but that sale ends April 30th.

What do you think? I'm not sure about that flower on the waist but I guess without it, it would be a little plain.

My older niece is 14, do you think the dress is too 'young' for her?

It's pretty but, it might be a little young for the 14 year old. My cousin is 15 and in the BP and she's wearing the same dress as the other girls and is very excited about it.

It's a pretty dress but IMO it's too young looking for a 14 year old.

It's a pretty dress, but a little young looking for the 14 year old. My cousin is in my BP and she will be 14 at the wedding and she is wearing the same dress as the rest of my BP.

One of my BMs is 15 and she's wearing the same dress as everyone else. But it's cute for the younger junior bridesmaid.

Darn. I thought you were going to say that.

I'm having a real problem finding dresses. I've been to a bunch of different places and either they have nothing appropriate or they don't have the right sizes.

The 14 year old is very small for her age and I guess I just think about her as a younger girl. I wanted to have them both in matching outfits but it's harder than I thought!

I thought David's seperates would be a good solution but they are SO expensive. I just know my sister is going to balk at spending more than $100. on a dress for these girls. My sister is just that kind of person.

Some dress lines have dresses available in 'jr bridesmaids' sizes. I know Jordan does.

What color are your bridesmaids wearing? Maybe you can find a less expensive dress in the same/complementing color that's less expensive.

Never heard of Jordan, I'll check them out too.

The color can be any subtle pastel. We were thinking pink because the girls love wearing pink, but it could also be lavender, periwinkle blue, mint green...

What do you think about this:

Even though it's listed as a flower girl dress, they have the sizes I need and it's $99.00 each from David's. And I think the style is better for a 7 year old girl and a 14 year old girl.

Me too. Too childish looking for a Jr. BM.

Alittle young looking, but very pretty.
I am having a JR BM that will be 14 also and she is wearing the same dress as my BM.

I agree with it being very young looking for a 14 year old. My jr. bridesmaid is going to be 13 and she is wearing the same dress as the bridesmiads only hers will have spaghetti straps while the others don't. Good luck!

that dress is more appripriate for a 5-8 year old.

go for a similar version to your BM dress.

a 14 year old is in high school (or close to it) and needs to look more like the adults in the BP rather than the kids and FGs

The first dress is good for a 7 year old, but to 'young' looking for a 14 year old. The second dress is good for a 14 year old, but I think too 'old' looking for a 7 year old. Both are very pretty though.

i totally skipped over the second dress.

i think they're both too young for a 14 year old girl. both are appropriate for a 7 year old. she should be looking like your BMs not your FG in my opinion. she's a teenager!

I agree also....too young

But I see your wedding is in June...we had to rush order our fg dresses from Jordan & we placed the order the end of March. We were told they'd be in in June.

You may want to check out the 'fancy' dress section at Bloomies or Macys
