Dress freak out

Dress freak out

So I went for my first fitting last week and at the time I thought my dress had a lot less lace than I remembered but thought since it was so many months from when I ordered It that I was just being crazy. When I got home I compared pictures to the pictures of the sample and there was a very clear difference. After talking to the dress shop she said that the girls added lace to the sample to cover up any wear and tear from it being tried on so much and that's why there was more lace. Nobody ever made me aware of this before ordering it. So she offered to have more lace put on to make it look more like the sample. My anxiety is sky high now that I have to wait to see how it comes out...do you think that was the right decision to have them add it? Do these seamstresses do this kind of stuff a lot???

Ok, to be honest, I can't really tell the difference between the two dresses either. I like the dress on the right better (might be the color, belt and lighting). I think the dress is gorgeous

sorry I don't see it either! where did you get your dress from? I would tell them they falsely advertised the look of the dress and see if they will add the lace for free.

I love it! But if it'll make u feel better, than have her add the lace

I see the difference, and I totally understand if what drew you to the dress in the first place was that layered lace effect. I would show them the pictures and have them add the lace, as long as its not a crazy expense for you.

I can see the difference and honestly it looks so much better wothout the extra lace. The way they added it looks like they just threw it on there and it kinda looks messy in my opinion.

At first glance I could not see a difference but then I could see a slight difference. In my opinion, the one on the right with the belt looks gorgeous!

I really don't see the difference either.

With the photo small you cannot see the difference at all. When I enlarged it, I see what you see. Honestly, if you want the dress to be exactly what the sample looked like, you should get it, even if it means adding one stitch. They should not advertise what they can't sell.
On the other hand, the dress is absolutely beautiful as is. It seems like maybe you picked a champagne color to go under and it definitely pops more without the added lace. This is one of those things that only you would notice, so you have to do what makes you happy.

When you enlarge the pictures those look like two entirely different dresses.

I can tell but I like tge one on the right more. But I agree they should fix it for free if your not happy

I can see the difference in the two dresses. I like the one on the right with the belt better. I feel the lace is a nice contrast to the background color. If you prefer more lace they should absolutely do it for free.

Both dresses are beautiful. The dress on the right can use a little more lace below the belt area. Either way it's gorgeous!

Go with whichever look you love best, and if it's with more lace then they should have to cover that cost.

I can definitely tell the difference but probably only did since you pointed it out- both are gorgeous- love lace! Definitely do NOT let them charge you if you add lace to the dress, its not your fault that you want it added- its theirs for not telling you what the dress originally looked like! I cannot believe that! Definitely something to keep in mind as I try on dresses if there is lace in them lol.. where did you go??

i love the dress on the right better. it's probably the lighting. Don't worry - you will look absolutely stunning
