dress getting crumpled in limo?

OK this might sound a little ridiculous but hear me out.....Anyone consider this... I just saw a piece on Princess Di's wedding and remembered that the dress got all crumpled in her royal carriage on the way to the church... xxxxxxxxxx... and I'm gettnig dressed at home and it's a good 35 mins ride to the hall... should I dress at home for pics with bm's and family and then take it off and put it on again in the bridal suite? Does this make sense. I want pics at home and of me getting dressed but I don't want to look crumpled going down the aisle!!!

I know this might sound dumb... but humor me ladies... what do you think?

Re: Girls with long trains or silk gowns... dress getting crumpled in limo?

Mine is silk satin but I never thought it'd get crumpled in the limo... hmmm. I figure it might get a bit wrinkled, but alllll gowns do.

I would probably say get ready at home and then just wear it to the place. Sometimes getting into the dress is a production so I don't think it's a good idea to put it on, take it off, and then have to redo it all. Maybe yours is very simple though?

Mine was silk satin and it got a little wrinkled in our 1 hour ride from the church to the RH...not so much that I noticed or anything until I got my pro pics and now it bugs the heck out of me...I don't think you have to take it off or anything but just be careful...I had no problems getting to the church because I was on the nervous side so I was sitting up straight and being on my best behavior...HTH

O MY!!! THAT'S WHAT I'M REALLY WORRIED ABOUT.. THE PICS ONCE I GET OUT OF THE LIMO.. BUT IF SITTING UP STRAIGHT WILL DO THE TRICK... THEN I'LL BE STRAIGHT AS A BOARD...

Question MandG072909: I took a look at your pro pics in your album.. you looked gorgeous btw - but I dont really notice wrinkling on your dress at all... is it because its really only slightly noticeable and YOU know its there? or are those pics not in your album??... if its the kind of thing where the ordinary person wouldn't notice ... then that'll be great!!!

I agree - I wore mine in the limo as well, and to be honest with you, I did not even give it a second thought whether or not my gown was wrinkled. It is bound to happen, so I was ok with it.

Does your cathedral train detach? If so, I would take it off before getting into the limo and then re-attach it after you get out of the limo. I know my gf's dress had a cathedral train and it was detachable.
