Dress Help

Dress Help

Ok, so maybe I stress out about small things. I already ordered my dress, which is strapless. In your (all of your) opinion do you think that my bridesmaid dresses shoudl also be strapless? Will the photos look better if the neckline is uniform? Why is something this insignificant bothering me so much!?! What do you think? Strapless all or it doesnt really matter?

Re: Dress Help

my friend had a straples dress and just her maid of honor was strapless to match her and seperate her from the rest of the girls... You can have the other girls match you, by something else that your dress has.

The girls dresses don't have to match in that way, but I think it's nice when they do. My original idea for BM's dresses was something sleeveless or halter because I didn't want a dress that LOOKED like a BM dress, but in the end we went strapless.

So just see what you find that you like best.

My dress is strapless and the BM dresses are like a v neck. I don't think they will look bad or I would not have picked them!

You might also want to talk to your BM's on their opinion.

I have several girls who've specifically told me they wouldn't be comfortable wearing a strapless dress. You want them to feel comfortable as well IMO.

I'm deciding on a designer and telling the girls to pick a dress. I'm probably going to go shopping with my MOH first and then decide on the rest.

Yeah, I definitely want them to have a lot of imput, but I also want my photos to look nice. Thanksfully they're all pretty easy and open to any style, but they're vehemently against tea-lenght. Also it seems like 90% of the dresses out there, both bridal and bridesmaid, are strapless.

i am the same way! i don`t know why but i want all of us in stapless. my moh id in a long stapless gown and my bm`s are in tea length stapless all the same color. i guess you don`t have to but i like the uniform look.

I agree! Uniformity! I think maybe that makes me a control freak. Tea lenght would just send me right over the edge b/c I think i'd want the hems to fall in a straight line in photos.

Seems like you would be happiest if they all had strapless full length dresses. Not a bad idea and I think it will look beautiful!
