That happened with me... I found this dress I was like in love with... But no stores locally had it to try on... I even called to see if they could send a lender to a shop, but they wouldn't =(.. I ended up having to get something else.. I'm still kinda bummed... But my new dress is wonderful... And it wasn't even something I would have tried on..
Just keep looking and have them pull a few things that are similar.. You'll find something you would have never thought =D

Re: dress help!
Is this what your dress looks like? I googled the style number. Kleinfeld has one just like it. show them the pic they may help.
Not too sure where you live, but if you want to take a drive out to Rocky Point...Fantasia Bridal offers TONS of Alfred Angelo dresses...that's where I got mine!! Here's their phone number...call them and they will help you. They are SUPER nice there!!!

Before you buy it go and try on a similar style! Then you'll know if you like the style or not!!

Re: dress help!
I would be careful, bc the dress that I thought I loved from pictures turned out to be very different when I saw it in person. It was so heavy and not that flattering. The dress that I thought looked awful on the website, is the one dress I actually ended up loving....
But I would say also, try on something similar and that might give you a better idea.
