went to try on dresses today....very depressing...I thought I would have a much easier time than I did. I only saw one dress that I even liked a little bit on me.
Can anyone reccommend a bridal shop where they are understanding of different body types and help you pick the right dress for your body?? TIA!!

I second Lillette's!! They're wonderful and have been there for at least 33 years (my mom got her gown from them)!

i didnt love dressing shopping either... in fact i hated it... i had the most luck at Fantasia and Paradise Bridal...

Lillette's too...bought my dress from there today! I've been to 4 other places and there I felt like they reallt worked with you and would only show me dresses that they thought would compliment my body type. Carol was great!

Thanks so much everyone!! I am going to Elelna's tomorrow, Bridal Garden in Bethpage Monday, and Lillette's tuesday....I hope I find something reasonably priced....wish me luck!!!

I today was at a bridal shop in bay shore, on main street i think it was # 7 or 16 ? the women there were SUPER sweet. there selection isnt huge, but they picked out a bunch of dresses for me to try on

I went to Kleinfeld's and Margaret was awesome! I only went to try on dresses for fun but I met with Margaret, I showed her some magazine pics of styles I liked, she looked at my body type and brought me 3 dresses to try on. I picked the 2nd one! I loved the way it looked on me and the price was right. They know their $hit at kleinfelds. Give them a try.
