Yay so I got a letter that my dress has arrived!! The funny thing is that in the letter it says they want me to come in for my first fitting shortly so I can inspect the dress, etc. and then do a second fitting closer to the date?! Does this make sense?

CONGRATS!!!! But, Isnt it too early for a first fitting if your wedding isnt until the end of August? You may want to wait bc you might lose weight ... well thats what Im hoping for myself anyway lollll

Ohhh yay!! I didn't realize I had a date twin on here and I've seen you post b4 That's exciting!! We'll have to share our progress I ordered my dress at the end of September so it actually came really fast which is great.. but I just didn't anticipate going in so soon and I thought they'd want me to come in for a fitting closer to the date

I ordered mine at the begining of august and it still hasn't come in, but I would be relieved if I was you. At least you know that it is in, and you won't have to wait for it. I would just ask them if you could wait until the summer to worry about fittings. And yes we ill have to check our progress with eachother, especially as it gets closer!

i guess its fine as long as they do 2nd and last fitting right before your wedding, this way if your weight changes they will fix it.

Maybe they meant they just want you to come in and try it on- not necessarily making adjustments yet. Good luck!

I'd call the salon and make sure it really came in. If it were me, I'd want to see it as soon as it came in to make sure it's the right dress, size, color, etc. If there are any problems, this gives the salon the most possible time to correct it. However, you will want to do your fittings closer to your actual wedding so your body is the closest size it will be at your wedding.

i had a fitting when the dress came in to make sure everything was okay and then real fittings begin in feb.

Thanks girls!! I'm definately going to go in to try it on and that would make sense if it wasn't a real fitting. I'm not planning on losing any weight for the wedding but it would just make more sense to do a true fitting closer to the date!! You guys are great!

Congrats! I just recently posted that my dress is in as well! As some have already suggested, we should wait a bit before alterations but I can't wait to try the dress on!
