Dress issues :( Need advice

Dress issues :( Need advice

::deep breath::
So I went for what is supposed to be a final fitting with my dress and it was relatively awful. They kept saying that I should put straps on my strapless dress because there is no way that they could fit it around my ribs to hold up the dress. They told me it was essentially my fault that the hem was too long because they pinned it last week and it was fine.

They told me my bra was all wrong for like 2 hours when last week it was 'perfect'. I put on a second bra... same exact style, different size, and the one they said was awful the previous week, and somehow it was perfect this week. I tried to explain that i couldnt have my bra peeking out from the sides because it would be kinda hard to photoshop it out of every single picture... still my fault.

I was there for 3 hours as I waited to look a in a mirror because someone's child was playing around in front of one mirror while someones MOB stood on the lil platform complaining.

I am rambling, I know, but I am on the brink right now as my bm suggested i take it someplace else (10 days before the wedding) and I am just really defeated.

any advice or words of wisdom for a bride who will potentially spending her wedding day with her hands in her armpits pulling up her ill fitting dress???

Hey vicky, yes, deep breath; so sorry you had a hard time at your fitting, this close to the wedding is NO time for them to be creepy to the bride!!!

Just want to say your dress photo in your album is GORGEOUS, but without seeing it on you it might be hard to advise? Here's a pic maybe someone else had this dress or similar and can make suggestions??? Would a long-line bra help here?

Also I have seen a LOT of seamstress recommendations on the boards, if you don't like the way they're doing the alterations I would not hesitate to grab my dress, and bring it to someone else ASAP!!!

I am not sure if its not allowed to say or something, but its a place in Floral Park.

Is it too late to find a place as the wedding is next weekend. Any suggestions on a seamstress who would help me out? I guess im starting to wonder if i have a freakish body and this is really as good as it will fit

I guess the one issue is the fact that it has a low v-back so it cant fit as tight as it needs to on my giant boobs. My grandmother was a seamstress for a billion years and was overall dissatisfied with the way this place was handling my mom's and my own alterations.

Suggestions for last minute and good seamstresses would be DELITEFUL!

Here you go, a recent thread with Seamstress raves, just fm the ladies so you can get a quick name/# that will be convenient for you.
What town are you in (just so folks know if their seamstress will work for you).
No, you do not have a freakish body; the dress will be GORGEOUS and so will your giant boobs (Good problem if you ask flatchested me!) KEEP THE FAITH!
