Ok, it sounds strange, but I would love to find a dress that has a mystical feel to it. I did find one dress that has a bottom I love... it is tulle, but not poofy, kindof flowy... but I just dont care for the top on this dress for me. Has anyone seen dresses like this? any ideas? ( I have time.. weddign not till fall 2004)
I'm not sure but that dress in the pictures is really beautiful.. what don't you like about the top?

Re: Dress like a fairy
Can't really place it, but.... it has this zig-zag pattern on it.... not sure if I like that... (I would love for the pattern to be an autumn like pattern, like leaves, or a vine)
There is also something with the straps... Really nothing specific, it just doesn't grab me I guess. Maybe if I tried it on it would grab me.
What I really love about this dress is the flowiness of the bottom. It is hard to see in this little pic... but it can be found at the Demetros site: http://www.demetriosbride.com/scrollcollections.htm Dress number 1071 (oh, it is in the demetrios collection)

did you look in Demetrios' Princess collection? That's where I found my dress, there are quite a few flowy dresses in the Princess section.

Just a suggestion but I think chiffon would be a more 'fairy' like fabric because its soft and flowy. Tulle is too stiff.

Yes, I agree w/Stef, my dress is all Chiffon, it's from that Princess collection I was talking about. They have a lot. When shopping, I only tried on Chiffon dresses, if you go to a shop you can request this. Also, Ian Stuart has some chiffon dresses also, if you can afford it.

Thanks for the suggestions, I did look at some of the chiffon ones in the princess collection.. I do like them. I think I really need to just try em on, that will help a lot.
The thing with the chiffon, it looks to me like it would cling to me... does it do this?

I agree.. tulle gives you more of the princess feel, which was the feel I was looking for..
Good luck!

No, the chiffon normally doesn't cling, b/c it is lined. Usually they are lined with satin, or crepe. Mine is lined w/crepe which doesnt cling AT ALL, and still flows nicely with the chiffon. I LOVE it !!!!!
The ones lined w/satin also do not cling, but I think they are a teeny bit less flowy. (you will be the only one that will notice the difference
Wedding Center in Commack had the BEST selection of these types of gowns, I just went in, told them what I was looking for, and they were great. I tried on at least 10-12 dresses there. More I'm sure, b/c I had a couple visits. The other shops had no more than a few, like at the most 4.
