Is anyone wearing a Jim Hjelm wedding gown? I found one that I absolutely love online and am going this weekend to try it on, but it has $$$$ beside it. I don't want to fall in love with a dress that is way out of my budget.

My dress is a Jim Hjelm! I ordered it from Bridal Reflections in Carle Place. It was the first dress I tried on in that store - the sales lady took it down from the front window for me to try on and I loved it! Which dress are you looking at??

A Trunk Show is when a Bridal Salon has that specific designers gowns in (all or most of them) and you can try them on and buy them at a reduced price.
So if they have a Jim Hjelm Trunk Show near you, you should go on that day b/c they will give it to you at the best price possible. The place will be filled with Jim Hjelm....these are really great, b/c you also get to see a lot of his other designs and you might find one you like even better, that has similar aspects to the one's you've picked out!

I actually was in the same situation, I fell in love with a $1200 dress, when my budget was 1/4 of that amount. I was ready to give up, but I found this dress making company, where I purchased the dress that they custom made for me for $200!!! I sent them my measurements, and they tailored the dress to me, no extra cost, as well as shipping, although the only thing I did not like was that they sent it parcel, but it looks great. It's exactly like the one I tried on at the dress shop, and I am so happy with their customer service (they really are ready to bend over backwards for you) that I'm having them make all of my bridesmaid dresses, since they will make pretty much any dress you would want for a very good price.
