If my wedding is in October and I'm ordering a Maggie Sottero from Bridal Reflections in Massapequa, how soon do I need to order my dress? They told me I should do it latest this month as it take at least 8 months, that can't be true can it?

it will take as long as they have... dresses really only take 4 months to come in so salons will often not order your dress when you place the order, or manufacturers will not fill the order until you need it so they can fill earlier weddings first.
i'd say to be safe 6-8 months for a maggie, plus you need time for alterations so lie about your date when you place the order!

It all depends on the designer, but I believe Maggies actually do take 6-8 months. There are other designers that take even longer! My Eve of Milady is taking 10 months!

I'm always skeptical when they tell you the turn over time. I feel like they are just pressuring you for a sale. Even still, the latest I'd order it is about 7 mos. out. You do still need time for alterations!

I have a Maggie dress also and I was advised to order at least 6months in advance. I ordered my dress back in August and I was told it would come in February. So imagine my surprise when I got a call on Monday telling me my dress came in, come try it on. Give yourself the 8 months she advised. I’ve read the horror stories about Maggie dresses not coming in on time, better safe than sorry.

Okay now I have to change or at least elaborate on my answer. I ordered my dress in September and I just got the call that it came in today! Originally they told me 6-9 mos. so I was expecting it either in February or even later!

I ordered a Maggie end of August and it just came in yesterday - so about four months. But i heard you should lie about your wedding day so there wont be any mess ups.

this is 10 months for me & mine's still not in..I know it can take a while & mine's not a necessity to have yet. But I would order ASAP in case God forbid it came in wrong or something
