Ok, I know this has been done before, but there are probably more girls who have gotten their dresses since this thread was originally done. I'm going shopping soon and have no idea what kind of dress to get. Could you guys post pics of your dresses so that I could get some ideas? Thanks so much!!!

Chippatrid, one of my bridesmaids had that dress for her wedding in last May. It was such a beautiful dress!

favorite part of my dress.... the detachable train. Its a lacy looking VERY soft tulle. (might actually be a kind of lace, i forget.) Looks really nice on and all together!!!

I can't find a pic of my dress anywhere. I've been looking online and in mags...

Technically.... I can post a pic, but I don't like the pic of it online, you CANNOT see the detail AT ALL!

Thats why i don't care for my pics of my dress. Honestly... my dress looks tacky in these pictures. But it looks sooooo gorgeous on!! The lace isn't too overboard in person.

the manufacturers picture is nicer (i asked them for one from the archives since its a few seasons old) since i can't find it anywhere online. Its Ian Stuart.

Here is mine, except I had the sleeves removed. It's Jim Hjelm Couture. My first fitting is next Thursday.

I don't know about strapless dresses making you look thinner, but I found that dresses with a drop waist or a-lines dresses to give that 'slimming' effect LOL

Thanks Marcela....I wish I knew how to do that! The picture isn't the greatest. Can't see all the rosettes or tassels on the back or all of the bead work on the bodice & skirt & train.
