Can this wait a bit (i.e.--until after the honeymoon) or do I need to get it taken care of immediately after the wedding if I want my dress to be in the best possible condition?

I'm not sure but I haven't preserved my dress yet & my wedding was over a month ago

It is fine to wait until after your honeymoon.
My wedding was over 2 months ago and I just started preservation myself. I also do not have any food stains, just some dirt along the bottom hem.
