Dress Price Negotiating

Dress Price Negotiating

Hey There!
In 2 weeks I'll be at Wedding Salon of Manhasset, first at Vera Wang Salon (for a trunk show) then next door at the main salon (I have 2 separate appointments)..
It will have been my 3rd time there by this date and I am DEFINTELY buying my wedding dress that day...
I have decided to abandon Kleinfeld b/c my experience at Wedding Salon was so wonderful.

What is the best way to negotiate lowering the price? When I went there the first time the lady offered 10 or 15 percent off the gowns, depending on the designer..
Any key things I need to say? Any chance of getting 20% off?
I know they want to take Kleinfeld's business LOL
I just don't want to settle if I can get them lower.
Help!

Oh yeah, I did find out from one of the girls on here that Vera can only give 10% off BUT they do free alterations...

I am not sure if you can negotiate the price. I didn't...but I was there for a Platinum trunk sale, so I got a discount already. Maybe I could have negotiated, but my mom and I just didn't think of it. They are soooo wonderful there, I can't wait to go back for bridesmaid dresses and visit my dress. Have fun!!!!

I'd say call around and see which salons have the dress at whatever price. Then go back and say 'I can get it for this much' and see what they say.

I agree. I shopped my dress around and then went back to the bridal salon I liked and gave them the lowest price I was quoted and she matched it.
