dress pricing!!!

i ordered my dress....you all knew that, i posted it a while ago......well, tonight i went with 2 of my bm's to show them the dress upstate (in albany where i live.....even though i ordered on LI) the place and LI and this place in albany are the only 2 shops that have this dress....WELL

the dress was 400$$$$$ LESS up here in ALBANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was sooo upset!!!!!!!!!! oh well, i already ordered...

I bet your wedding would be a lot less up there too!

Oh man, that stinks......sorry to hear that. I have heard that you have really got to look around because the price differences could be like that....ughh...what a shame!!

That stinks!! You should at least make your bridal shop aware that you saw this- maybe they will do something extra for you or something, you never know.

Anyway, I feel so bad for you- BUT at least you have the perfect dress, which is priceless!

Wow!! I knew LIW were more expensive than other areas - but the dress should be the same price regardless!! I'm so sorry to hear that!! Do you think you can show the salon the price and see if they will match it or atleast explain why the exact same dress is to toally diferent prices??

Thats funny, because when my friend from Syracuse got married, her dress was MORE up there, so she ordered it down here istead (where she was living with her FH)... THe important thing is you got THE dress.. sure, it would've been great to keep that extra 400bucks, but in the grand scheme of things... it's not too horrible (but it would have bugged me too )

Can't hurt to see if they have any kind of price matching policy, I would think. It does hurt, I know....sometimes IGNORANCE is BLISS!

Just think tho, it's better to have your dress already down here on LI where you'll be getting married. That's one less thing you have to worry about when traveling, and you certainly don't want anything to happen to your dress.

It is true though things up there are cheaper most of my FH family lives upstate by oneonta and his sister was married up there and her wedding cost beans compared to ours even though hers was smaller then ours but photography dj and all that was cheaper alot cheaper
