Dress progress

Whew...today was a good day, approved my invite proofs, talked to the new caterer's rep, and bought two dresses!!!
I started out at RK bridal, and they had, in stock my size(16) for my long dress. Cash and carry!
I have not figured how to upload images, but it is an alfred angelo Grecian type dress, with silver beading. It was actually much cheaper than I expected.
They seemed to have no interest in alterations, it was kind of slam bam, but hey the dress is sitting right here!
For my short dress I found a shop that ordered the moonlight l-960. It's going to be close for July, but they say they can do it. I will be a bit nervous about the delivery, they said they can do it.
(Gowns by Louise in the Bronx)
The only casualty may be my polka-dot veil, unless I can dye it ivory, but it is much easier to find another veil than a dress.
I am having trouble uploading pix...maybe it is a mac issue.
Thanks for all the support and advice...I can relax a tiny bit now!

Congrats!! I'm glad you found something you liked at RK. And honestly, they did you a favor by not offering their alteration services!!

By the way, send speedy energy to my little mini dress, I cut it a little close!
I am so happy to have this all done, I feel a big weight lifted!

Re: Dress progress

the shop called to say it would be in about a week before, and they would do alterations while I wait.
I like this Louise in the Bronx.
Now I gotta find the Bronx.

Re: Dress progress

thanks for all the compliments
what sort of veil would you do with the first?
It might just be better with a hair ornament.
I think a short retro veil would go well with the second
