OK, So my wedding date is quickly approaching 10/03/08 & I can't seem to find 'the dress.' I've found a few dresses that I really like but I want it to be perfect or at least feel like it is 'the one.' So here's my question... What bridal shop can you recommend that has a lot of dresses, particularly with a selection of satin dresses with beading/embroidery & pickups.
Thanks Ladies...Oh & if you can think of a dress that you think I may like PLEASE let me know!

Re: Dress Question...
I love Demetrios dresses, and they sell them at Macy's. They have a ton of different styles. Check out the website - demetriosbride.com, and see if there are any dresses on there that you like. Then you can write down the style numbers, go into Macy's and ask to try those on and see if you like it on you. That's how I found mine.

Re: Dress Question...
If you know what you want, have it made.
I know someone who had her gown made $700. So no big risk if you don't like it...

Re: Dress Question...
RK Bridal in the City - My sister and a few friends got their dresses there. They have a ton of selection and at a great price. They will even match a price if you find the dress you like cheeper somewhere else. :)

If you are crazy or daring...There is the running of the brides this coming friday in union square. I will be attending the mayhem to see if I find a great dress for a good price.

Re: Dress Question...
I dont know where you should go-but I think its normal for brides to have a 'its the one' moment-dont get frustrated if you dont have that. I didnt, I knew it was the dress...no emotion, no crying, no dancing....I was just really excited and didnt want to try any others on.
I know sugarkube (Dayna) had a gorgeous dress, not your normal PU's but absolutely a stunning dress, Maggie Sottero makes a few dresses with the PUs also

I also vote for Fantasia....they have a HUUGE selection of gowns & the staff is just so great. They'll let u try on as many as u like for as long as u like and the seamstresses are out of this world. definetly check them out..this was my gown by demetrios...
