So I went in for my measurements yesterday to order my dress! I am very excited and glad to have this checked off my list. They lady I am working with said they usually order the dress to come in 2 months or so before the wedding. Is this normal? I guess they do this so that it is not just sitting in storage in the store? I just got me a littled worried since I'm ordering it almost a year in advance. Can any one share their exprience? Thanks!
I just ordered mine two weeks ago, they told me it won't come in until 6-8 weeks before the wedding.
I ordered my dress 13 months before my wedding. They told me it would take 8-10 months to come in. It may depend on the designer.
I ordered my dress 17 months before my wedding. They said it would come in in 10 months (so 7 months before my wedding). They will alert me when it arrives but it will remain in their storage unit, not the store front, until 2 months before the wedding when fittings will start.
I ordered my dress in July and they told me it would take 8-10 months to get.
Ok this is good to hear...looks like this is the procedure for most dress stores. Thanks for the feedback Ladies.

Yeah, it depends on the store. Some have storage room, and they order immediately. Others don't, so they wait to time it to come in two months before. This was a bit of a deal breaker for me, part of the reason why I didn't use Lilette's. The salon I used ordered my dress when I purchased it in August and it will be in February or March.

i ordered my dress about 11 months before my wedding ... they told me it would arrive in about 5-6 months.
