Dress question and a small glitch.

I went bridesmaid dress shopping again this weekend. All of my BM's fell in love with this dress. Instead of the red and black, it would either be light blue and black, or black with the light blue middle.
Do you think it would look ok with the pink peonies that i've had my heart set on?

I think peonies will still go.

IMO, light blue will look good with pink. As for the whole pregnancy issue, ask the sales associate how they can go about having the dress altered as such. Sometimes the dress won't give if they're pregnant. It's one thing to be a larger person and needing a size because of it but being pregnant is different because its all in one area (most of the time)

this is a tuffy i am also concidering this gown as well so far it has looked good on all of my bms. i would do the black gown with the blue middle. and if you are doing pink peionies why dont you do the pink in the middle. as for the wanna be pregnant bms this dress will not work for them (I have a huge design and sewing background) unless they are only a few like 2-4 months pregnant. otherwise this gown is totally not appropriate for them. sorry to burst your bubble on this one. it is a great gown. and if you do wind up picking this make sure these bms understand that they really should try to hold off on getting soooo pregnant before your wedding.... i know it is an impostion to say this but they should be a bit conciderate to you. Sorry this is such a hard one with the pregnant bms. if you are going to look for another gown for them the style you should pick would be an empire waistline. sorry geezze

I think peonies would still look great. However, I do NOT think this is a good dress for pregnant women. It accentuates the waist and would not be flattering or probably comfortable for pregnant women. I would look for something with an empire waist that allows more room in the stomach and could be altered easier.

One other caution - most bm dresses do not have extra material in the seams. You might want to consider ordering the potential mommies a size or two bigger, just in case. It is much easier to take in a dress, then to let it out!
