I am looking for a dress shop that has alot of the dresses on display and i can go through the racks myself. I went to Helens in Commack and I loved being able to go through the dresses myself. Can anyone recommend anywhere? I already went to Bridal World, Davids, Bridal Reflections, and Burtons.

Bridal Suite of Bayshore lets you look through the racks...I got my dress there as well bridesmaid dresses, and they have been great so far...

Agreed, but I *hated* RK Bridal. To be honest, I never visited a store that WOULDN'T let me browse through the racks. I highly recommend Village Bridal and Paradise Bridal. I purchased from Paradise bridal though I probably would have purchased from Village if they carried the designer I ended up purchasing.

regarding RK Bridal iv had both good and bad experiences, the good experience I went at 1 pm on a wednesday and had an amazing consultant who was so helpful and I tried on about 10-15 dresses
the other experinece was on a saturday morning going with another bride, i told her it would be a mad house and it was.. if your gonna go do it during the week early

I highly recommend Village bridal in Babylon. You can look through their racks and their sales associates are helpful without being pushy. I also got my dress altered there and they did an amazing job!

I got my dress today from Bridal Suite of Bayshore. First dress I tried on and loved it fell in total love with it and the assistant Annie was wonderful.

I recommend RK Bridal, had a good experience there, large selection to go through, and I ended up purchasing my dress there. It does get really crowded on the weekends. I went on a Sat. morning when they first opened and after work on the weekdays and it was fine.

Yes, they have their own alterations department. I did mine there and had a great experience. My dress had a long full train of layers of tulle which was too much for me, I actually cut about 14' off the back and when she was done you would have never have known it.
