Dress Shop Help

I'm ready to go find my dress, and I have a great idea of the one I want, but I need help with finding a good dress shop. The maker of my dress is Mary's, so I need any advice of the following shops which carry her styles:

Creations by Aurora in Babylon
Bridal Suite in Bay Shore

I got my dress at Bridal Suite in Bay Shore for my August wedding and had no problems. I highly recommend them. Others girls on this site have said the same thing.

I do not remember exactly. I think it had to do with them closing down the shop for some reason unannounced and brides had to take legal action. Somebody must have gotten a phone number of an employee there to get them to open the store. I would sue them if I found the store closed the day I was supposed to pick up my dress. Brides have to enough to worry about a few days before the wedding. I just looked them up on the BBB and there were 2 Renate's: Lindenhurst and Bellmore. They both have complaints filed against them and the Bellmore store has not yet responded to the complaint. I think the problem was in Bellomore, but be careful they are not owned by the same people. If you go to Bridal Suite ask to use Maryellen. There is one really snotty salesperson there who will turn you off.

Thanks for the warning! Is there anyone else there you would recommend, just in case Maryellen isn't there. I have just one day a week to take care of planning, and with my luck that will be the day Maryellen is off!! LOL

Yes I have spoken with him and we have an appointment to meet with him! Thank you for the referral! The only problem we forsee is that we want at least two photographers at the wedding and he works alone. He was very nice and we're looking forward to meeting with him in about two weeks. I'll keep you posted!

Someone had posted about a very negative experience with the Wedding Center of Commack awhile ago. I forget the details, (I think they cut her dress too short and then were rude about it?) but if you do a search, you can find it. I think it was posted when I first came on here in April/May.
