Dress shopping

Dress shopping

This past weekend I started dress shopping. I went to Davids Bridal on Carle Place and to Kleinfelds. First of all, I live in Brooklyn, and I got very lost going to Davids Bridal. THe directions on their own website were WRONG. I had to call them to find out where I was supposed to go. But once I got there I had a great time. The dresses were beautiful and the sales women were very laid back and not pushy. Kleinfelds was the total opposite. The dresses were beautiful, of course, but my sales woman was pushing her opinions on me and made me feel very uncomfortable. I also saw several saleswomen DRAGGING the dresses along the floor. There was a sample sale going on, and many of the sale dresses were DIRTY. They had big dirt spots like someone had stepped on them, maybe from dragging them along the floor. My personal opinion was that Davids Bridal was a better experience.

I would have to disagree with your statement, I also live in brooklyn the first place I went to was kleinfelds, All the dress were wrap in plastic bags, not one of the salewomen were pushy, they help me so much in choosing the right dress, they work with you to make it perfect from the dress to the jewelry to the tiara etc... They have so many dresses to choose from. I just went to pick up my headpiece and walking in there was just breathtaking because you can see the girls with different dresses on. I would recommend anyone looking for the perfect dress to go to Kleinfelds.

Klienfelds vs David's Bridal is like Earth vs Pluto .........2 TOTALLY different worlds ! Personally, I'd choose Kleinfelds if not for the service, then for the quality of their gowns

Re: Dress shopping

I can't vouch for David's Bridal since I've never been there, but when I started my dress shopping I went to Kleinfelds first, bc everyone said u have to go there...I hated it...I've been there b4 with a friend and her experience was great, unfortunately, the consultant I dealt with didn't seem to know what she was talking about or understand what I wanted even after showing her the pic...needless to say I came home
