They usually telling you that it'll take anywhere from 8 months to a year. They told me 8 months but my dress came in in 6 months.
It really varies by designer. I ordered my gown the end of March and it was in at the end of August (5 months)
wow, i cant believe it takes so long. I went to 2 shops lilletts, & i believe it is called the bridal center of lynbrook & they both told me 4 months.
i started shopping at about 12 months. I went every other weekend looking. I finally paid for my dress two weeks ago. my designers takes about 6 to 8 months, but shops are closed in december and january so if i am lucky my dress should be in. I waited because I wanted to lose more weight.
you should start looking now.. alot of things can matter.. for instance you should find the bridal boutique that treats you right and has the best price. And, if you dont know the style yo uare looking for, you should shop around and try on as many dresses as you can so you can narrow them down!
do BM dresses take just as long?
Its really scary how long some dresses take. The only place I looked so far was RK Bridal, and I was told 4-5 months for the two dresses I liked there. I thought I had PLENTY of time, only to find out that it depends on the designer and that some could take up to a year. YIKES!! I hope to have mind ordered (once I decide) by the end of Sept. I would go ASAP so that you are not too limited in your options.
the earlier the better...my friend ordered hers about 6 month before the wedding and she had to pay an additional fee for rush shipping.
I would start looking as soon as possible. Mine takes about 9-10 months but i know certain places to vary. Just make sure you give yourself enough time so you don't settle!!
Macy's said it could take up to 8 months for delivery and then you need to take care of alterations. My wedding is next July and I ordered my dress a few weeks ago.

Hmmm I would start looking def. Cause alot of dresses that I looked at would take 8-10 months to come. Also if you fall in love with one make sure it's not gonna be discontinued too. Because they discontinue dresses often.
I am getting married the day before you and I have mine already :) Got it in July before I even had a date. I ordered it in June and it came in in ONE WEEK .... but it was supposed to be in in October. That's David's Bridal too - I imagine they are much faster than boutique shops.
i ordered mine 4 months before the wedding at helens bridal. i will be getting it a month before the wedding date.
i think 10 months would be good
