Re: dress shopping
I agree it is frustrating. They all look the same especially when they're in bags and packed into the shelves so tightly that you can barely see them.

I hear ya, when I first started looking it was like everything was strapless and I hate how it looks on me! They have come out with some really nice stuff for the 08 lines so you never know. Good luck looking and try not to let the opinions get to you!!

My one suggestion to you is go with a clear idea of what you want, however, be open to trying on a variety of styles. You never know, a style you maybe vetoing now, may look amazing on you!

I know what you mean....for example my mom swears mermad is the fit for me( I am curvy) and to me I just dont know if Ill feel like a bride ....and I hate halters but some dresses I see I like that are halters....the one thing I do know is I want lace overlay...I am so indecisive...it took me 6 months to find a dress to wear to my FSIL wedding....and ended up spending way to much $$ because it was the only thing I liked lol

I know it sounds like a cliche, but when you find the dress, you'll REALLY know! I went to a few places and tried on some dresses for fun, and had the feeling like, ok get it off me... People would gush, and the sales lady would be like, this is the one, and I was like.. ok yeah right!
But when I saw my dress in a magazine, I just stared at it. I was like I have to see this in person. I went to the store with the picture in hand, and once I tried it on, I cried in the dressing room. It was the most amazing feeling, I could actually picture my wedding day in the dress and so on.
You'll find it! DOn't get frustrated if you don't find it tomorrow! Also, if you think you found the one, still try on other dresses to make sure. I made myself try on about 6 other dresses afterwards just in case, the funniest thing, another bride was trying on dresses and when I came out in a dress other than the one I brought, she was like, take that off and put that first one back on, the first one is your dress!

Re: dress shopping
One of the 07ers Colette, had a beautiful dress that definitely wasn't too revealing. She had 3/4 sleeves added to a dress
And another 07er Shorty McBride also had sleeves added
