i didn't but you can b/c the salespeople will usually help you.

I did. was at 1st very sad and lonely. but then when I started trying on dresses the sales lady was so wonderful and I got so much attention from the manager as well, it ended up being an amazing experience

eta: now I'm happy that I went alone, I think if I have went with other ppl it would've been very confusing with all the other opinions flying around

I know the feeling - I do my best shopping by myself! BUT when I went dress shopping I brought an entourage of 8 people - it was a lot of fun! I can't wait to go again

i did, and it honestly kinda s u ck ed.... i really wanted someone else's opinions as well (other than the person who was trying ot sell me something), but its hard to lug people around to all these places too, so i would try to narrow it down on your own then if you can bring others

When/Where are you going?

I'm going to wait until after my vacation - I'm off the week of July 6 - figured I'd relax before I start this process (which I am so not looking forward to). I wanted to go to Village Bridal, Lillete's and Helen's. Haven't really made any plans yet though. Still about it.

I actually went to a bunch of stores with a friend and then on a whim one day went to a store by myself and found the one

I could never go by myself- but thats just me. I like opinions (honest ones...salespeople just want to sell you something). But if you do go by yourself, the salespeople are very helpful at most places. If you are going alone, I reccomend Macy's Bridal. I had a great experience and the sales woman that helped me was wonderful.

No i loved it from the moment i put it on and was 100% sure. I tried on a bunch of other dresses at the store and there were two others that i liked alot also (one of which the saleswoman loved) but this one felt like mine.
