When you ladies went dress shopping did you bring a list of designers and style numbers or did you have to bring pictures?

Re: Dress Shopping
I knew I liked Maggies so I brought a bunch of style numbers and pictures with me to my first appointment...I also brought a bunch of pictures I had pulled from magazines.
I abandoned these by my second appointment since I had somewhat of a better idea of what I liked. I also let the attendant I was working with pull things for me...if its a good salon, they've seen mostly every dress in the store on a bunch of brides, so they know what looks good on what body type. HTH!

Re: Dress Shopping
I really just tried on EVERYTHING. I figured, although I had an idea of what I wanted, I also wanted to keep an open mind. Some dresses look great on the computer and on the rack, but horrible on you. This also goes the other way. You might not even consider a dress until its on you. So keep an open mind. Try on different dresses just to get an idea.

Re: Dress Shopping
I brought some designers and style numbers, and I tried on a couple of those dresses. Needless to say, the gown I got was one that I had never even looked at online

Re: Dress Shopping
i started with photos but left that idea very quickly since most stores might not carry exacty that dress i had the photo of. i ended up just telling the sales people what i wanted and had them pull dresses for me.
