Dress shopping!

I'm making the appointments for dress shopping this weekend! I'm so excited! But also a little nervous...

How many places is TOO many to go to? I have identified like, 5 places on LI to hit, but is that too much for one day? Am I going to get frustrated, tired, etc?

My mom is coming down for the weekend, so we were going to do LI on Saturday and Manhattan on Sunday. Is that too ambitious?

Also, what should I bring with me? I've come up with only a few things:

-Strapless bra
-Shoes similar to the heel height I'd like to wear
-Some kind of shorts

Anything else?

i think 5 shops is a lot in one day... b/c eventually, everything will start looking the same...

but if you think you can do it, then go for it.

and don't forget to bring a camera!!!

IMO 5 is a lot in one day. I would say in the course of a weekend 5 would be feasible. I went to two stores and that was more then enough....esp if its your first time trying dresses on. There are a ton of different styles/fits out there and unless you already have an idea of what you want you will prob try on a lot of dresses and then it becomes a blur and you forget what you liked most.
On the flip side, i hear that when some girls find 'the one' they know it immediately and it doesnt matter what else they try on....but i wasnt that lucky and am still hunting.
I would stick to 3-4 in a day but the best option may be for you just to take their phone numbers and if you see after the 2nd or third store that you arent up for it, call and reschedule. no harm done

IMO, 5 is definitely too many in one day. By the end of it, you won't be able to tell one dress from the next! The most I would do is 2, MAYBE 3. 2 days in a row should be fine though.

My only other word of advice- don't wear a thong and leave your modesty at the door! Good luck! Take pics if you can!

the most i did in one day was 3...

it wasn't that bad....but i was also really anxious and really excited to shop...and when i went to the first 2 and found nothing, I was so glad we had a 3rd place to go to!

definitely go and look and go home and think about it....when i tried on a dress, at first i was getting tired and was like no.....and then i went home and realized how much i liked it! so i went back and tried it again...and i loved it more......


dont make yourself rush it!
