Ok...so I am totally stressing over going dress shopping and I want/need to lose weight before I go. I am just imagining myself hating ever dress that I see myself in. How long before your wedding date did you guys purchase your dress? I need to figure out how much time I have to lose weight.

i bought my dress in late oct, so a little under a year ahead of time. but don't stress - most dresses take 6 - 9 months to come in, so you have plenty of time to start looking.

they say you should order 8 months before. But I think if you are at Davids Bridal the dresses come in faster.
