Dress Shopping

I need some advice from the other 2013 brides to be. Did you already go dress shopping or pick out your dress? I want to go shopping really bad...but i'm not sure if it's too soon. What do you gals think??

I am waiting till next year. One I want to loose some weight and two I want to see what new dresses come out. I still look online but just not going yet.

I'm waiting because I need to lose some weight first. That's my motivation! If you want to start looking now then go ahead! Nothing wrong with getting an early start

I was planning to start over the summer but my mom keeps saying it is too soon. But i lost alot of weight already so now I'm anxious to try some on!
i'll prob start over the summer but i am promising myself that if i dont find 'the one', i'll just wait until newer ones come out!

I when on friday the 1st of april and i got my dress!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! im so excited ...yea i just want time and im going to try to push back the fitting as far as i can ..b/c i just want to make sure if anything would go wrong that i have enough time ..and alot of people told me that its good i did go...just not to look at any dress ..LOL...i would never but its really up to you but i would try to go a little bit bf a year mark

IMO, its totally too soon. Styles change, and i feel that if i go searching now, i'll find something next year and i'll like better. IMO, i think i'm going to go around the one year mark. I'll loose more weight too which i need lol

Most Wedding Checklists will advise brides to go dress shopping around the one year mark.. and purchase even 8-10 months before. But I feel like most of the reason why I booked my wedding so far in advance is so I don't feel like I am rushing anything! I was so worried about having to settle on a dress or hall bc I'm running out of time or money! (totally looking ahead at the checklists, but I feel at 6 month mark, there are like 30 things to do in a month and that makes me feel panicky!!!) I never want this planning to feel like a job or chore and stress about it!

ECOSTELLO- if this dress is def 'the one' then you totally made right decision!!

plus i know styles chance and everything but i not one of those brides that is going dress shopping again to make sure its right LOL...i would never do that

Thanks girls!! I knew it was early to start. I already picked a dress that i fell in LOVE with, but i'll have to show a little self restraint for now!

Yea that what i got from Alfred Angelo ...its the ariel one...i loved it so much...but i tryed on belle too and loved it ...but those were the only disney ones...but i feel head over heels LOL... best thing i ever got

Thanks for the FM. I know there are some trunk shows coming up.....i'm so scared that i will really like it and then not really experience the whole dress buying time with my mom and BMs.....i dunno. I love the Belle, but i wish it was sooner to the wedding and i could start really going to tons of stores to look.
