So I have made two appointments so far to start dress shopping in October while I am on vacation from work. I am very excited. Need help from you ladies-can you give me some recommendations for places in Queens or Manhattan? The two I booked so far are Macy's Herald Square & David's Bridal. Plan on going to RK Bridal but they don't make appointments. Thanks in advance.

Re: Dress shopping
I honestly didn't have the best experience at the Herald Square Macys...but maybe it was just the consultant. I hope you have a better experience!
Kleinfeld's was really great, I definitely recommend trying them. Very helpful.
I'm also going to Bridal Reflections in Massapequa, it's a quick trip on the LIRR from Penn Station if you wanted to try that as well. There's one in the city, too but the gowns are pretty expensive to start.

I would love to go to Kleinfeld's but I have a feeling any dress I would love there is way over my price range
Do you know if the Bridal Reflections in Massapequa is walking distance from the LIRR?

Re: Dress shopping
If you go to RK bridal be there 45 minutes before it opens. THe line will be inside the lobby area. I go there on Saturday at 9:35 (they open at 9:30) and waited for 1 1/2 but I was able to find some bridesmaid dresses in the mean time. Oh and if you want to stay under budget I notice if you tell them your budget is $1500 they go straight for those dresses in that are that price, even if a cheaper one fits what you are looking for! (at least this happen to me at two places) HTH

If you dont mind me asking, what is your price range? I'm on a budget as well and Kleinfeld worked with me and really kept me on budget.

Re: Dress shopping
Bridal Reflections!!!! IDK about everyone else but I had a BM dress from David's and it fell apart by the end of the ceremony. We were all pinning our dresses back together.

Nicole is amazing...so friendly, helpful and knows what she is doing. Loved her! Bridal Reflections was also helpful for bridesmaids dresses too...I got my dress and the girls dresses there...
