Dress Shopping! - Long Island Weddings

most dresses take 6 months to come in plus you need 2 months for your fittings, so it's recommended that you don't wait sooner than 8 months. Most salons say 9-10 months out just to be sure you have time, so you could probably wait until like October/November

most designers already have their 2014 stuff out though. All of the big designers debuted their 2014 collections during fashion week awhile ago.. alot of the salons should have the new gowns in now

Dress Shopping! - Long Island Weddings

I'm wedding dress shopping now and every dress that I've loved has been from a 2014 collection. From my experience, most places have 2014 dresses in their stores now. I would start making appointments soon.

P.S. - you're getting married a week before me

I agree with everybody. Most Spring 2014 dresses are already out. Also give yourself time to shop around. I've been to several places and I think it takes awhile of trying on different types of dresses to figure out what you like.

So anxious and excited to start! Probably going to start around September/October. About a year before. I already love some Fall 2014 gowns, so waiting for them to start hitting stores.

I ordered mine in May! The designer takes 10 months to come in. I would go soon just so you arent limited on designer and have time for alterations
