Dress Shopping again tonight... Update

Hi girls, so I went dress shopping last night, I just have to say I was soooooo disappointed in Bay Shore Bridal Suite. First off, as soon as I got there I see a bride crying her eyes out, I felt sooooooo bad for her. It was her first fitting and her wedding is in 2 months, not exactly sure why she was crying but seeing that didn't make me all warm and fuzzy inside! So the woman that helped me was rude and acted annoyed that she had to pull dresses for me. She just acted like I was wasting her time. Then she wound up pushing me off to another woman (who was nicer), cause she had to deal with the 'other issue' (the crying bride). They just had bad customer service.

They had a very small inventory of dresses to try on too. I'm sure there are plenty of girls that had good experiences there, maybe it was an off day, but all I know is I would never order my dress through them. I had such a better experience at Paradise Bridal last week.

So sorry about your experience. I have heard many bad reviews about that salon, with similar stories.

So sorry to hear about your bad experience. When I first went dress shopping we went to Fantasia in Rocky Point. Stephanie helped me and she was an absolute sweetheart!!! Sadly I didn't find my dress there. I found it at Paradise Bridal in Patchogue, but I plan to take my dress to Fantasia for alterations because I trust them so much more.

I looked there too and wasn't impressed. The woman that was helping me just wasn't 'getting' what I wanted. Despite my explicitly explaining what I was looking for.

I had good experiences at Lillette's and Helen's in Commack, which is where I ended up ordering my dress from.

Yeah, I'm gonna keep looking, it was only my 2nd bridal salon I went to. It was just frustrating, cause she kept pulling dresses that were no where near what I told her I wanted too, I wanted mermaid style and I was getting ball gowns?! Ummmm really, totally different!!

So sorry! I would cry if I ever got service like that! I am so fearful to go dress shopping because I hear bad reviews from SO MANY places where people are so rude to the bride.
