Should I go dress shopping by myself? Or should you really have someone there to give an opinion and to sneak pictures? I don't know how I will remember any dresses if I don't have pictures!

I think it's best to bring someone along. Its hard and sometimes a second opinion is needed. Also, it help you from being pushed into something if you have a pushy sales person. Good luck!

I went alone and I think it works out better. You don't have all these different people telling you their opinion....JMO

I would highly recommend going with someone. I would also recommend going more than once with 2 separate people. I found my dress the 1st day (w/my mom). then I went with my MOH to try the dress again, and I felt much better having 2 opinions.

I went alone twice, and I brought people with me twice as well. I would recommend going alone after you have sense of which gowns you're looking for, after trying on a few, that way not too many opinions are thrown your way.

I did both- I really liked shopping alone and narrowing it down first. They will help you in and out of dresses at the salon.

I agree. I went alone and got a really good feel for the dress I wanted, then later I brought my mom with me. I didn't tell her I had gone alone because she was getting very upset with the idea of her not being with me when I picked 'the one', so I let her believe that I hadn't gone, just to make her happy. But for me, I prefer to do a lot of things by myself!

If you have one person you can take that you really value and trust the opinion of, take the one person. I took my mom because I really trust her opinion. I would have taken my FH but it's bad luck!

take one person definitely. take 2 only if they won't argue with each other. don't take more than that and don't go alone

I really had no choice but to go alone considering all my family is in Long Island and I am in Charlotte. My FSIL is visiting next week so I will go with her and show her the dress.
