Hi Ladies! I have such anxiety over dress shopping! Is this normal?! My MOH has finally pushed me to just do it so I made an appt for this Sat at Paraside Bridal. Anyone ever been there? Anything I need to know? I feel so weird getting undressed in front of a total stranger. Any advice?

don't feel anxious - it'll be fun! wear something modest - if you want, maybe your MOH can help you instead of the salesperson? paradise was good when i went, they were patient and helpful - only thing was they won't tell you the designers of the dresses.

I went to Paradise 2 weekends ago and the lady did not come in the room with me. . . . . so I had my cousin help me I had the best time trying on dresses and I can't wait to go again

i was thinking of wearing boy shorts and a strapless bra. I heard they dont tell you the designer. Can we take pics or do we have to sneak them? LOL

I wore boy shorts and a strapless - you can't take pictures - BUT fyi the dressing rooms are completely closed off so you can't see the flash I knew that some of the dresses were maggie's and the sales girl told me what some of them were (I'm not sure she was supposed to)

but what if I go wanting a specific dress by a specific designer? they can still show it to me right? I dont understand why they wont tell you who designs the dress..

I believe if you want a specific dress and they have it they will pull it for you - but you can see all of the dresses, so you can pick out what you want to try on - hope that helps!

if you know what you want, tell them, if they have it i think they should show it to you. we snuck pics but i think they must have known. didn't strictly enforce it though.

dont feel anxious! i went there and the lady did not come in the room with me ..and even if she does and you dnt like it tell her to get out lol...but just to give you a heads up they do not allow pictures and when i went the lady did not give me ONE dress that was in my size so i would try on a dress that did not even close and my chub was hanging out all ove rhte place when i walked out to show my sister lol..i dnt know if that was just with me or if thats just sumthing they do

don't be anxious. at first i was really scared to go, but it was actually fun. i went to paradise bridal and they were very helpful. i loved the girl that helped me. she was so funny. she told me the designers of the dresses because i kept asking. you can sneak a pic in the dressing room without a problem.

I'm with you. But mine if totally revolving around my weight. Over thelast 4 years I have gained nearly 30pounds. I am down11...but wont go dress shopping until I lose the other 20!
