Dress shopping experience

Dress shopping experience

Hey Girls,
I had an interesting experience today. I am not going to name the place but I was blown away (not in a good way) by the service I received tonight for my first time out dress shopping. The lady there was so unbelievably rude through the whole thing. She made unnecessary remarks throughout our whole appt. She told my Mom to stop looking around and just to sit down, she said that I basically tried on the whole store and how could I not love at least one thing. I felt bad for not liking the dresses she pulled. At one point, I even fibbed saying I liked it just to avoid her wrath ha ha. Me and my Mom were able to laugh it off afterwards but good God not what I was expecting at all!!! I didn't find anything I loved but I did get a feel for the style I may want. Did anyone have experiences like this???!!! The next time I make an appt I'm going to ask for someone kind lol.

If she wanted to make a sale I think she should of been a bit nicer!! So what if you dont like the dresses you tryed on....unless she was the designer....lol.
Try another bridal suite. Good luck

I had a similar experience in one of the shops I went to. My sisters were looking through the racks and were asked to go sit down. Mind you, my sisters aren't little kids. They're in their 30's and 40's. Then the consultant picked out all gowns completely different than what I had asked for. Finally, she brought up something like what I had described, and I loved it. Suddenly, they started being nice. Oh and it was also after she got a good look at my e-ring

Needless to say, I'm getting the gown I found there, but at a different shop.

I had an experience like this, but it was at David's Bridal so I wasn't so shocked.

I had a similar experience it stinks that they don't realize that if they treat you like that you are not gonna buy a gown from them and they will lose commision

I had that experience... sort of, at the place where I bought my dress. I left aggravated and frustrated, fat, and ugly.

I then went to a different Salon had an INCREDIBLY positive experience, but their dresses were out of my price range.

So, I called up the first salon, and explained I needed time to try on more dresses... and explained I needed someone with patience because I really had NO idea what I wanted....and I needed them to really fit the dress on me, as I am not about to 'imagine' what the dress would look like on me... I need to see it.

Much better experience the 2nd time, and I bought my dress there.

Sorry about your experience. I had a similar experience. I wrote a post about it last week. Some people just shouldn't be working with the public.
