Dress shopping help- what to bring?

I am going dress shopping for the first time on Friday. Should I bring a strapless bra and dress shoes with me? Anything else I am missing?

i would wear a strapless bra and decent undies, unless you dont mind showing your asss to the consultants no need for shoes

If you want to wear control undergarments the day of and happen to have something on hand, bring those along as well. But don't go shopping for them first, b/c if you want to get special lingerie, you'll want to get the dress first.

Shoes are arguable--they might help you visualize, but depending on your height, the samples might be too long even with heels.

Ditto on wearing undies that cover your butt cheeks. I wore a thong the first time I went shopping. I didn't know that in some shops, the associates help you with taking the dresses on and off. To this day, I feel like I need to apologize to the sales associates for exposing my butt to them.
