Dress Shopping - I miss NY - vent - UPDATED

Since the engagement I realize how much I miss NY. Esp for planning a wedding!! It´s so much easier to find things there. Today was yet another example.

I went dress shopping for the first time today. I still don´t know many places around here (horrible since I´m living here almos 4 years!!) but called around. (for those who do not know I´m currently living in Ecuador and planning the wedding from here!!).

I found a place that imports dresses and had demitrios dresses. (from what i´ve seen online i´m leaning towards that and maggie sotero) I was very excited and went there to find out that they had a total of 10 dresses (if that) for sale!! The rest were rentals. And there was no dress above a size 8 (I am a size 10 but hope to change that before the wedding). There were only two dresses I liked and I looked horrible in both (of coarse since they didn´t even fit!!) I was very sad.

Apparently they have another store with a huge selection (why she didn´t tell me that over the phone is beyond me!!) I´m going to try that as well as some other stores I heard about in that area tomorrow. I just hope it goes better than today!!! Today bummed me out!

sorry about that....but dont limit yourself to trying on dresses to buy

try on the renting ones too..if you like it, im sure you can get it ordered for you in your size (if not from there, from online or from a store in nyc)
