Last night my sister and I went to a Boutique in Islip... I won't name it, some of you will be able to figure it out, if you're not familiar with it FM and I'll let you know...
So I was quite unhappy with this place. Their consultants were snotty and kind of unattentive. She seemed more concerened about whether or not my sister was taking pictures than trying to find out what I liked or didn't like about each dress. Everything she pulled was awful, it was like she didn't listen to a word I said. They also had every label ripped out of the dresses so there was so way you could know who the dress was by, she wouldn't even give me the info at the end. I brought a list of dresses I wanted to see since their site said they carried those designers and she said they didn't have a single one. Really??? Not one??? The list was 15 dresses long!
So anyway... needless to say I will not be making a trip back there.

i know exactly what place you are talking about....i've heard that alot about there. sorry this happened but don't worry you will find a beautiful gown!

i hate places like that! i think its so ridiculous when theyre so uncooperative it makes the customer go elsewhere just to spite them. sorry you had a crappy experience, but the dress you did find before at the other places were gorgeous so at least you have some options

I went shopping EVERYWHERE..... and since im local I may be able to help. Tell me designers you like, and i can tell you where I had good experiences.......

hey yea, some places can be like that, i went into one and they weren't interested in showing me anything. (been to about 6 places so far); I basically wrote down all the places in brooklyn and went to like 3 a day. more than not the places were friendly./

That stinks - I'm not surprised about them not having the dress in stock though. When I went to fantasia I had a list about 30 maggies I wanted to try but they had only 4 of them. But one of them was the one so I lucked out!!

I had similar issue with the place you are talking about. I went there, had an appointment and the consultant who should have been helping me was too busy taking phone calls. So she had the receptionist help me. I mean she did a great job but every time I gave her a new idea she had no idea where to find a dress as to my description. very frustrating. There are many other places out there that are more accommodating! Good luck with your search!!
