Dress Shopping Timing Help

Hey ladies,
How far in advance did you/do you have to buy your dress? I am asking because I am having reduction surgery in January. Although the initial healing goes quickly I am not sure how long it will take until swelling decreases and I will be at my permanent new size. I am going to hopefully book my wedding tomorrow (so exciting) for Oct/Nov 2010. If it takes a few months to heal, will I have enough time to shop, pick a dress, and have it arrive in time for the big day?
Thoughts?

It really depends on the designer. I ordered my dress at the one year mark, but my designer takes at least 9-10 months to come in. Other designers can take a lot less time.

just maek sur ewhen you are looking to telll the bridal store of the timeing issue and tehy should help you find gowns that will come in time for your wedding! but some dresses it make take to long at that point.. but im sure that you will have plenty of options!!!! i wouldnt worry!
